European Governments are working to ban all single-use plastic but there's still a lot of individual changes that we need to make! Starting with a simple straw, you will realize that small things, make a huge difference.
If you already have some Bamboo Straws, you probably know how awesome they are, so here's a help to take care of them :)
Our straws are made exclusively from whole Indonesian bamboo stalks without any chemicals, which makes them easy to clean and maintain. A well-made bamboo straw is long-lasting, and easy to clean!
Cleaning
After each use, rinse your plant-based drinking straws under the tap and every so often clean the inside using the cleaning brush provided. You can even put your straws in the dishwasher, but make sure to switch off the hot & dry function and dry them immediately.
Every month or so, you can boil a pot of vinegar water mix and soak the straws for a few minutes if you want a super thorough clean!

Dry and Storage
Always let your bamboo straws dry fully. They dry very quickly!
Dry them flat, not standing up so that water does not collect at the bottom. You can also dry your straws with the sunlight, giving them a special golden yellow color.Ā Store your straws in a well-ventilated place, and never in air-tight containers or jars.
End of Life
Bamboo straws will last as long as you take care of them, specially if you follow this guide. These bamboo straws are sustainable and compostable, so once you decide that you have used and abused your bamboo straw, place your straw in a compost bin or reuse it another way like a plant stick, or some other nice creation.Ā
